A former Art Director in the advertising industry in South Africa and Barcelona, Tatjana Buisson relocated from Cape Town to the South of France in 2014. Her career has been as vibrant and varied as her creative spirit — spanning product development, running her own stationery brand, guiding luxury cycling trips across Europe, and practicing energetic and somatic healing modalities.

When the world came to a standstill in 2020, Buisson discovered oil painting — a practice that quickly became her primary creative focus. Living in Provence, long celebrated for its luminous light and landscapes that have inspired artists for centuries, had been a dream since her teenage years. She devoted two years there to developing her own painting practice before following a powerful intuitive calling in 2022 that led her to the Aude Valley in southwest France, where she now lives.

Today, Buisson divides her time between her work as a communications consultant for UN Women, freelance illustration and design for environmental initiatives, and her growing body of oil paintings. Based in a small village of 300 inhabitants along a salt river, she draws deep inspiration from the surrounding natural beauty and the ancient, energetically charged sites that shape the region.
